What does it mean to be a woman? And more importantly what does it mean to be a woman in today’s crazy world? In the modern world women are expected to be both independent and dependent. Thick and curvy, but also thin. Full-time mothers, but expected to contribute equally to the household income. Have a bright mind, but never speak your truth. 

Let’s face it: being a woman is HARD. So, it’s no wonder that women are more likely to experience depression, anxiety, eating disorders, be victims of trauma, and struggle with self-esteem and self-worth. Not every woman will experience these hardships, but no matter what you are struggling with, I am here to walk alongside you on your path to a better you. 

Common reasons women make seek out therapy include:

  • Peripartum depression (the new term for postpartum depression)

  • Low self-esteem/ low self-worth

  • Body image struggles
